Compact in size yet full of personality, they typically stand 12 to 14 inches tall and weigh between 11 to 20 pounds. Their double coat, often seen in colors like salt and pepper, black, black and silver, or liver pepper, requires regular grooming but sheds very little—making them a great choice for allergy-sensitive households. These dogs are highly social and thrive on companionship, forming strong bonds with their families and getting along well with children and other pets when properly socialized.
Despite their small stature, Miniature Schnauzers are confident and alert, often serving as excellent watchdogs. They adapt well to both apartments and larger homes, provided they receive daily exercise and mental stimulation. Raised in a loving environment, they respond well to training and enjoy being part of everyday life.
